just an update..
I haven't been on in a while so I thought I would catch up on things since November.
1. I believe I am at the right dosage with 112mcg. In the beginning, I was incredibly tired, but it may have been my body just getting used to the medicine.
2. I saw my endocrinologist in January for some blood work and a general check-up. I learned that during my full body scan (after the radioactive iodine), the radiologist that read the report was concerned of some enlarged lymph nodes in my neck. My endocrinologist wasn't too worried about it at the time, but this time he wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure nothing had gotten worse.
During the ultrasound, he saw several enlarged lymph nodes right under my jaw...not near my thyroid area. He measured the largest ones and I will go back in April. If they are any bigger or the same size, he said he would have to do something further. I am crossing my fingers and praying that they get smaller...even if it is a slow shrinkage.
3. I look at my scar daily and realize that God brought me through so much. If there is any day that I am feeling down, I just look down and realize that God is amazing....
